9/159 Post Office House

Former Post Office, now private house. Mid-C19. Rough ashlar walls; tiled
roof with some fish-scale tiling and ornamental bargeboards. One brickstack
at left end, one stone stack in cross-wing at right end. T-shaped plan.
One storey and attic. On front elevation, at right end a slightly
projecting gabled wing. This has, on each floor, a 2-light stone mullioned
window with ornamental cast iron glazing. Added glazed porch left of this
wing, with shingled roof. Part glazed door in stone 4-centred arch. In
main range to left, on ground floor a 2-light stone mullioned window with
ornamental cast iron glazing. One gabled dormer in attic with similar
window. Single storey rear lean-to.
