Former farmhouse, now 2 cottages. C17 origin, altered in C19. Rubble stone
walls with some brick dressings, hipped slate roof, brick end and centre
stacks, 2 storeys. Single-storey projecting lean-to at left end, has
part-glazed door and a casement window with glazing bars. Panelled door in
main range. Ground floor has 3 casement windows with glazing bars. First
floor has 5 casement windows with glazing bars - of varying designs. Left
gable wall shows evidence of earlier, steeper roof pitch, and has a small blocked
early window. Similar window in the end wall of the lean-to. A National
Trust property RCHM Monument 6. (Dorset Vol. II).
