Burn
II
Bridge. Probably circa 1860, for transport of lead ore to smelt mill on
Eggleston burn for London Lead Company. Large blocks of coursed sandstone with
ashlar dressings; coursed rubble parapets with block coping. 4 high segmental
arches with voussoirs, the easternmost partly blocked, on tapered piers.
Parapet copings have roughly-dressed top, and blocks were formerly held
together by iron clamps, now missing. C20 iron reinforcements tied to corners
of piers.
