Poplars Farmhouse (formerly

Farmhouse, 17th or 18th century. Timber framed and plastered with hipped peg
tile roofs. Of two storeys and of L plan form with 20th century flat roofed
rear extension infilling south east corner. Front has two-light 20th century
small pane casements and 20th century gabled peg tile roof porch. Other eleva-
tions have mixture of 19th century casements and 20th century plain windows with
top hung vents. Two red brick chimney stacks behind ridge, that to the south
over contemporary ground floor inglenook fire place with wooden seats and timber
mantel beam. The L shaped block is of one build with some reused medieval and
16th century timbers. Halved and bladed scarf joints and straight, pegged,
internal wall bracing interrupting the studs.
