House. Mid C16. Timber framed and plastered with peg tile roof of gambrel
form. 3 bay former open hall without any form of upper chamber. C20 extension
bay on south end with gabled peg tile roof of 2 storeys. Main block is of one
storey with attics with 4 lean-to dormers in the front roof slope. Small, off
centre ridgeline brick stack and large C20 rear extensions. Front has C20
gabled enclosed porch with date in plaster of 1625, (incorrect). Windows are
C19 timber casements each with central horizontal glazing bars. Jowled posts,
cambered tie beam with one surviving arch brace. Inserted C17 floors and stack
the upper part of which is of clay. Roof was formerly of crown post form and
was raised to gambrel form, probably in the late C18.
