Gremlin Cottage taken approx mid 1960,s, my mothers Hillman van is parked outside, my brother and sister were both born in this cottage. at this time there was no by pass for the village, you could look over to the cricket ground from upstairs on a saturday afternoon and almost see them playing, and at the end of the game they all walked down to the pub for a pint. Early 70,s brought the by pass which only just missed our house, this was to divert the sugar beet lorries away from the village, partly due to the noise and the sharp bend halfway thro the village
