House. C16, refronted c.1800. Timber framed structure, partly recased and
partly rebuilt in mottled red brick. Hipped clay tile roof. 2-storeyed, 2-
room plan building, with first floor jetty to rear. N (front) elevation:
complete refronting. Sash windows with glazing bars under cambered heads, 2
to ground floor, 3 to first floor. Off-centre doorway has 6-panel door under
flat hood on timber supports. S elevation: ground floor rebuilt in brick.
Jettied first floor with pebbledash render. Ground floor has 2 3-light
casements with glazing bars under cambered heads. First floor has 2 2-light
casements with glazing bars. Off-centre doorway in slightly projecting bay
has 4-panel door under cambered head. To E end is substantial external stack,
ironstone at base and brick above, with pair of tall diagonal shafts. W end
has C19 rebuilt chimney in similar style. Beyond this at W end is C20 2-
storeyed addition.
