House, the ground floor converted to commercial premises. Earlier C18. Red
brick, the walls darker, with many vitrified bricks, the dressings lighter.
Steep hipped C20 tile roof. 3 storeys. 6-bay facade, LH bay slightly
broader than remaining 5. Ground floor retains one original window. First
and 2nd floors each have 6 windows, although 3 of 2nd floor are blind. All
are sashes with wide moulded wood cases and segmental heads, almost flush with
wall. All have glazing bars and moulded sills. Gauged brick segmental
arches have fluted keystones, and there are brick aprons below all sills.
Ground floor has square-headed carriage arch to LH bay. 4 RH bays are taken
up by later C19 canted double shop front, with moulded pilasters and cornice
and central double doors. Giant order pilasters at each end support moulded
cornice and deep stone-coped parapet.
