Public house. C16. Timber framed, with colourwashed roughcast render to
ground floor, and red brick herringbone infill. N gable end has coursed
limestone rubble to ground floor. Clay tile roof. 2-storeyed 3-room plan
block bordering road has jettied first floor. Block projecting from rear is
of one storey and attics. Front elevation: moulded bressumer to jetty, with
jetty to RH room at higher level than rest. Ground floor has 2 C20 canted
bays, 3 small casements, and 2 C20 doors. First floor has 2 3-light casements
flanking a 4-light casement. One red brick ridge stack, one external stack to
N gable end. Rear block has C19 canted bay with sash windows with glazing
bars and 2 gabled dormers with casement windows.
