Late C18 or early C19 lodge. Colourwashed brick and old clay tile roof.
Original L-plan with left hand projecting gabled wing. C20 wing added to
rear. One storey and attics. Modillion brick eaves. Neo-Tudor paired
hexagonal chimney stacks. Projecting wing has gable end attic 2-light cast
iron casement and ground floor canted bay. Similar metal window to front
elevation of main wing with porch built into angle between two wings. Thought
to have been the lodge to Oakley House, the building was named after an
adjacent maze which has since been destroyed.
