?C17, remodelled in early C19. Formerly on moulded stone plinth; 2 storeys
of modern red brick, plain parapet, capped with simple coping. 2 windows
(3-light, sashed), formerly beneath bold moulded cornices, supported by
ornate brackets carved with trusses. Original 6-panel door (4 fielded)
with fanlight in recessed round-headed alcove with similarly panelled reveals
and soffit: plain classical frame with reeded pilasters and moulded cornice.
Front wall largely rebuilt. Illustrated in 'Recording Britain', volume
1, page 20.
