GV II
House and shop. Circa C17, remodelled in C18 and C19 and extended
in C19. Rendered timber frame. Slate roof with gabled ends.
Rendered brick gable end stack with set offs and later brick
shaft.
2-room plan, the left hand (north room) heated from gable end
stack, the right hand room unheated. Later outshut at rear now
incorporated into C19 extension behind right hand room. 2-storeys
2 window west front. C20 casements on first floor and two small
C20 shop windows on ground floor. At rear short section of
outshut in angle with C19 rear wings; no windows.
Interior: stripped plaster and joinery exposing timber framing.
Left hand (north) room has chamfered axial beam with hollow step
stops and C19 brick fireplace. Right hand room has unchamfered
