5/71 Turnpike Trust Mile Marker

II

Turnpike Trust Mile Marker. Dated 1837. Cast iron limewashed with raised
lettering painted black. V-shaped on plan with a coved top approximately 1 metre
high. Date and 'BRISTOL TURNPIKE TRUST' down centre spine, 'TO BRISTOL 12' to
left-hand and 'TO CROSS 4' to right hand.
