gates

Detached house. Early C19 with later addition to rear. Limewashed incised
render with slate roofs. 2 storey, 3-window south front. Windows are 20-pane
sashes to ground floor and 18-pane sashes to upper. Central C20 two-leaf French
window in former door opening. Stepped voussoirs to window heads, rusticated end
pilasters and 2 string courses below bracketted eaves with lozenge and roundel
decoration on the soffit. End rendered stacks. West facade has open ironwork
verandah without canopy and 2-storey canted bay to later, rear, addition. Simple
spear boundary ironwork railings with 2-leaf drive gates with anthemion finials to
pier jambs. The house was formerly called Greystones.
