Circa 1700-20 altered late C18. 2 storeys, colourwashed stucco, narrow string
at 1st floor level, delicate bracketted and moulded eaves cornice and hipped
slate roof (small slates). The walls are colourwashed yellow and the string
cornice woodwork, etc are painted white. There are 2 squarewindows on the 1st
floor flanking central semi-circular window in stucco fan recess, 2 tall 3-light
sash windows on the ground floor With moulded frames each with segmental stucco
fan tympanum in segmental headed recess, and tall 6-panelled central door with
arched, radiating and wreathed fanlight with moulded architrave round the arch.
Rectangular doorcase of 3/4 engaged Corinthian columns supporting entablature
with frieze enriched with swags. Service wing to right hand at back. The south
front is similar in colour and materials and has 3 2-storey angular bays with
hipped slate roofs. Interior: west ground floor room with canted bay to garden,
retains fielded panelling and bolection surround to the fireplace. Other ground
floor rooms have late C18 mouldings and Adamesque fireplaces. Simple open string
staircase with turned balusters and continuous moulded handrail.
