4/104 Yew Tree Cottage
with attached walls

GV II


Cottage with attached cob walls. Circa 1700 with C19 addition.
Rubble stone, with extension in brick, half-hipped thatched roof,
gable end brick stacks. Single-storey and attic, 4-window. Six-
panelled door with flat wooden hood on brackets to right of centre
with blocked doorway and 2-light casement to right, 2-light
casement in former mullioned window to left, C19 bay to left has
blocked doorway and 3-light casement, both with segmental heads.
Four eyebrow dormers with 3-light or 2-light casements. C20 brick
addition attached to right return not of special interest. Rear
and interior not accessible at time of survey (March 1986). Good
cob walls. attached to left on flint plinth with thatched capping,
round-headed planked door through to gardens.
