House. c1820. Well-coursed watershot sandstone with ashlar dressings,
stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Projecting quoins, ashlar
surrounds to openings. Central door with 6 glazed panels below oblong
4-pane fanlight. Sash windows, with sill band on ground floor. Stone
gutter of classical cornice section, projects just right of centre in
semi-circular head around rainwater pipe. Rear elevation has round-
headed landing window with glazing bars and Gothick tracery. Name
'SPENSLEY HOUSE' carved in good lettering on quoin on right return.
Interior: 6-panel doors, 3-panel window shutters, simple cornices,
staircase with square-section balusters and turned newels.
