Farmhouse and stable under one roof. Dated 1737. For George Ryder.
Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. House: lobby-entry plan; 2 storeys with
rear outshut, 4 bays. Stable to left: 2 storeys, 2 bays. House: quoins.
Central part-glazed door in architrave with pulvinated frieze and cornice,
and above it a plaque with raised characters "GR 1737". 2-light double-
chamfered mullion windows. Corniced ashlar stacks to left end and on ridge
to left of door. Stable: quoins to left. Ground floor, from left: small
window; board door. First floor: ventilation slit. Shaped kneeler and
ashlar coping to left. Rear: outshut has 3-light double-chamfered mullion
window set in older, larger surround with dripmould; part of outshut, to
right, has been raised in height. Left return of stable: first-floor window
with slab surround. Interior of house: in ground-floor room to right of
door, inglenook fireplace with curved lintel, probably of timber, and with
salt box with fielded-panel door in rear.
