Cottage. Dated 1684. Rubble, stone slate roof. 3 storeys with 2-storey
rear outshut; 3 first-floor windows. Quoins to right. Ground floor, from
left: board door in ashlar surround with interrupted jambs and rounded inner
corners to lintel and hoodmould; 2-light double-chamfered mullion window
with hoodmould; blocked doorway with chamfered quoined ashlar surround with
scalloped recessed panel on lintel with raised characters "IR 1684" and
ovolo dripmould. First floor: two 3-light double-chamfered mullion windows;
chamfered fire window with stanchion. Second floor: two 2-light double-
chamfered mullion windows. Shaped kneeler and moulded ashlar coping to
right. Corniced ashlar stack to right. Rear of outshut: on ground floor,
2-light double-chamfered mullion window and single-light window with flush
surround and dripmould; on first floor, 6-pane sash window in flush
surround. Right return: 2 blocked single-light windows in gable. Interior:
in ground-floor main room ashlar fireplace with rounded inner corners to
lintel and stop-chamfered beam. Unoccupied at time of resurvey.
