House mid-C16, timber framed and plastered, of 2 storeys with a hipped, peg tile roof.
C20 rear, 2 storey extension with hipped peg tile roof. Front has C20 metal casements
with leaded lights and flat hooded door surround with heavy brackets. There is an off-
centre, rebuilt red brick stack. The house is of 4 bays, floored throughout as
original and was divided into 2 large chambers on each floor. The plan arrangement
suggests a non-residential, original use. Heavily framed with steep internal arched
braces, the roof is a simple collared rafter type. Internally, there is an inserted
inglenook stack, original solid tread staircase and a fitted C17 cupboard with door in
the stair well. (RCHM 13).
