Manor house of C17 origin, mainly late C18. Main range of plastered brickwork,
rear wing timber framed and plastered, roofed with slate. Consists of main
range aligned approx. E-W, aspect S, with 2 external chimney stacks on rear
wall and one on W end, late C18, and rear wing at W end with one internal
chimney stack, comprising the residue of a C17 house. Single storey lean-to
extension in the angle, roofed with handmade red clay tiles, C19. 2 storeys.
S elevation, central 6-panel door with porch consisting of 2 fluted Composite
wooden columns and pilasters and C20 pedimented roof. 4-window range of double-
hung sashes of 12 lights, late C18, fording a symmetrical composition. Low-
pitched roof, fully hipped. Staircase with rosewood rail and 2 slender square
balusters to each tread, scrolled tread ends. Interior 6-panel doors complete.
Sash windows on ground floor have double-hung shutters below the sills, complete
and in working order. Some crown glass in these windows. Bolection moulded
wooden fire surround in W ground floor room, moved from elsewhere in the house
in C20. No framing exposed in rear wing except plain-chamfered ceiling beams.
