Lock and accommodation bridge, c.1790. Robert Whitworth, engineer. Dressed
stone. Retaining wall of lock is rebated for two sets of gates, the upper
now steel, the lower wooden. Across the lower end is the bridge, which is segmental with rusticated voussoirs, band and solid parapet terminating in
piers.
