Farmhouse. c1740 with mid-C19 alterations. Slobbered rubble, painted stone
dressings, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Right-hand entrance has segmental-
arched head, impost blocks and moulded keystone to flat roofed porch; 6 panel
door, upper 2 glazed. To right is blocked single-light ground-floor window.
To left is C19 ground-floor window with C20 casements and smaller C19 window
with sashes and glazing bars. On upper floor is C19 window over porch with 8
pane sashes. 2 ridge stacks. At rear is gatepost cap inscribed:J + B 1738
reputed to be for J Brown. Lead rainwater head from left-hand gable dated 1782
now in adjoining barn. Left-hand bay of Whaitber East Farmhouse (qv) now belongs
to Whaitber Farmhouse.
