2 houses, now one dwelling. Early C19, possibly incorporating older material.
Pecked, squared sandstone with ashlar dressings. Purple slate roof with stone
ridge, gable copings and kneelers and stacks. (Pantiles on outbuilding).
Gothick style. 2 storeys, 5 bays, near-symmetrical. In second and fourth bays
doors of long, pointed panels in architraves with flattened ogee heads. In
other bays 2-light chamfered stone-mullioned window, taller on ground floor;
1-light windows above doors; all chamfered, all in architraves and all with
projecting cills. Mostly leaded lights. 1 small window inserted by right-hand
door. Very deep eaves soffit; fairly low-pitched roof. Big end brackets
support square kneelers to ridged, gabled copings. Octagonal corniced stacks,
one at left end, one at each end of the 3-bay right house. 1-storey right
outbuilding with boarded door and 4-light wood-mullioned window. Small
twin-doored outhouse at left end.
