Farmhouse. Late C17, refenestrated later. Tooled sandstone with ashlar
dressings and pantile roof. 3-cell hearth-passage plan with staircase and
dairy outshut. 2-storey, 3-window front. Centre right board door in
chamfered quoined opening. 3-light mullioned windows in quoined openings
throughout. Windows to left of door have small-pane casements on both
floors, those to right centre sashes between casements, small-pane on
ground floor and large-pane on first floor. Coped gables and shaped
kneelers. End and right-of-centre stacks. Rear: full-height, right-of-
centre outshut. Interior: chimneypiece with corbelled shelf in ground
floor room to left of cross passage. RCHM, Houses of the North York
