Farmhouse. Late C18, incorporating remains of early C18 house; C20
modernisation and extension. Coursed rubble stone to earlier build; dressed
limestone to later build; pantile roofs with rebuilt brick stacks. Central-
stairhall plan, one room deep, incorporating remains of earlier house to
left; C20 extension to right, 2-storey, 3-window main front, with earlier
front forming wing to left, of 2 low storeys, and 2 windows. Main front:
raised and chamfered quoins. Central door of 6 raised and fielded panels
beneath renewed radial-glazed overlight. 16-pane sashes with painted stone
sills throughout. All lintels are renewed except those to first floor left
and centre, which are keyed. Raised first-floor band; moulded eaves
cornice. C20 roof lights. Coped gables and plain kneelers. End stacks.
Wing: flush quoins to first floor. Tripartite sash to ground floor and two
C20 small-pane casements to first floor, all with renewed sills and lintels.
End left stack. Rear of main front; flush quoins. Radial-glazed staircase
sash with painted stone sill beneath painted round arch to centre. Cavetto-
moulded eaves cornice. Gable wall: quoined. Interior: open-string,
quarter-turn staircase with moulded handrail, stick balusters and shaped
tread ends. Staircase window surround is a reeded round arch with imposts:
some raised and fielded panelling survives. Front door and 6-panel hall
doors have reeded architraves. Ground-floor room to left has doors and
shutters of raised and fielded panelling, and panelled window seat. Ground-
floor room to end left has exposed chamfered beam and square section joists.
