south of West View

GV II

House. Early - mid C18. Limestone rubble brought to course. Roman tile
roof. C20 stone stacks. 3-cell hearth-passage plan. 2 storeys, 3 first
floor windows. C20 half-glazed door with 3-light Yorkshire sash to left and
firewindow. Two 3-light Yorkshire sashes to right, all beneath wooden
lintels. First floor: 3-light Yorkshire sashes. Steeply-pitched roof with
sprocketed eaves and end and ridge stacks. Interior: fireplace with hood
and shaped brackets contains parts of 2 C19 ranges made by Carter of
Kirkbymoorside and Yates of Malton.
