House of 2 builds. Late C18 and mid C19. Limestone rubble brought to
course, Westmorland slate roof to C18 section, Welsh slate roof to C19
section. C18 section to left: 2 storeys, 4 bays. Glazed door with radial
fanlight in 3rd bay flanked by sashes with glazing bars. First floor: 16-
pane sashes. Keyed stone lintels. Corniced end stacks with herringbone
tooling. Venetian staircase window to rear facade. C19 section to right: 2
storeys, 4 bays. Glazed door in 3rd bay. C20 fixed windows throughout
except canted bay to right end on ground floor. Ridge and right end stacks.
Interior of C18 section: open string staircase with square balusters and
carved treads. Sitting room: 6-fielded-panel door in moulded architrave and
fine cast iron hob grate in fireplace with ribbed friezes and dentillated
cornice. Moulded plaster ceiling to landing.
