Outbuilding. Late C17 with C18 alterations. Sand and gritstone, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays; bay 2 projects as short wing. Irregular
fenestration. Quoins. Board stable doors with large lintels to left and
right, each with adjacent 2-light mullion window. First floor: 2-light
mullion window to left, wider window with 3 lights to right. Projecting
wing has 2-light mullion windows to ground and first floor and a
semicircular window lighting the attic. Rear: irregular fenestration
includes 2- and 3-light mullion windows. The building is constructed into
the slope of the hillside and the rear is less than 2 storeys in height.
This building is thought to be the site of the chantry chapel established by
William de Dall in c1230. (Dole Bank Farmhouse, (qv)).
