SE 37 NE ASENBY MAIN STREET

House. Early to mid C18. Red brick, English bond, pantile roof.
2 storeys, 3 bays. Lobby entrance plan with single storey rear outshut.
Door to right of 4 panels in plain frame, top 2 panels glazed. All
windows 12-pane Yorkshire sashes. Elliptical relieving arches built in
headers over all openings. C20 stack on ridge opposite entrance,
original external stack against left gable. Central ground floor room
has exposed spine beam with cyma stops, and back-to-back fireplaces
survive opposite entrance. Converted outbuilding at right end not of
special interest.
