railings and gate on west
side of Lady Rash Walk

Gamekeeper's house with wall, railings, gate piers and gates on north-east
side. c1875 for the first Marchioness of Ripon. Coursed squared gritstone,
purple and grey slate roof. 2 storeys, irregular plan. North-east facade:
right - 2-storey tower has 4-panel door, in roll-moulded 4-centred arch, and
pyramidal roof with iron corona. Wide bay projecting left has stone-
mullioned canted bay window with hound-masks to window cornice. Above: 2-
light mullioned window surmounted by a carved stags head under a pointed
hood-mould. Tall lateral stack left. Garden wall: approximately 15 metres
long and 1.5 metres high; railing above composed of bars with scrolled
finials and supports to rails. Gate piers: approximately 2 metres high,
pointed caps. Gate: single leaf; bars with trefoil finials.
