Church. 1878 by Luigi and H. Solaini of Liverpool. Tooled stone. Welsh slate
roof. Square west tower. 5-bay nave with lean-to aisles, south porch, 2-bay
chancel with apse,Lady chapel and vestry and single-bay transepts.
Tower: 3 stages. Angle buttresses. West door, 3-light west window. Triple
group louvred bell-chamber openings. Splay-footed spire with lucarnes. Paired
lancet clerestorey windows. Single-light cusped lancets to buttressed aisles.
2-light transept windows with circles in heads. Paired cusped lights to apse
with 6-foil in head. On the north side is an apsidal baptistry.
Interior: nave arcades of brick moulded arches on short stone columns. Arches
have patterned voussoirs. Organ gallery at rear. Arch-braced wagon roof to
nave. Grey-marble, octagonal font in baptistry.
