Dovecote at Cricket Farm

Dovecote. Mid-late C18. Squared, coursed rubble. Stone slate roof.
3 storeys, one bay. Entrance to left with deep, shaped lintel. 2-light
window to 1st floor and larger single-light to 2nd floor. Gable copings on
cut kneelers. To left a lower 2-storey altered building has entrance with
deep lintel, rebuilt gable wall and a Welsh slate roof.

Interior: dovecote is brick lined and retains nesting holes in the brickwork
and in the underdrawn ceiling, the latter with wooden perches. Lower building
has two open trusses with extended tie-beams.
