Large farmhouse c1800. Roughcast red brick stone slate eaves courses to
pantile roof. U-shaped plan. Entrance front: 2 storeys and attic, 1:1:1
bays. Central recess with 4-panel door and overlight beneath continuous
floor band; window opening to lst-floor of bay 3, otherwise blind; deep eaves
band to hipped roof with brick ridge stacks to wing on left and right of main
ridge. Rear: 4 bays as front lit by 4-pane sashes with stone sills and flat
brick arches.
Interior: remains of original staircases to 1st floor and attic. Built on
moated medieval site but does not appear to incorporate any earlier
structure.
