House. Initialled and dated " WBS ", altered and extended late
1752
C18 or early C19, attached to lower possibly earlier C17 cottage
to east. Hammer-dressed stone, slate roof. 2 storeys. 3 bays,
double-gabled frontage with "H" shaped roof and central doorway
protected by porch. To either side tripartite sashed windows.
Those to 1st floor have shouldered architrave and keystone. Central
bay set back. Outer bays have rusticated quoins with cornice
creating open pedimented gables with coping and ball finials.
3-light windows to rear with chamfered mullions and doorway with date
stone set over it. Left-hand return wall has lateral stack with
quoined flues and shaped offsets. Other stacks. 2 bays of windows
with architraves retaining 12-paned sashes.
