5/18 Townhouse Farmhouse.

22/10/1952

GV II

Farmhouse: early C17 with later C17 addition. Timber framing with
brick and plastered nogging on stone base. Addition in washed, tooled
sandstone blocks. Welsh slate roof and 3 brick chimneys. Rectangular
plan. 1 and 2-storey, 4-bay front. Left end bay is lower and in
stone, with a 2-light wooden casement. Remainder has 12 by 3 regular
small frames with angle braces. 3-light wooden casements below,
2-light horizontal sliding sashes with glazing bars above. Between is
C20 board door with gabled hood. Left end gable is stone coped on
kneelers with 3-light chamfered stone mullioned windows. Brick
extensions to rear.
