Bridge Cottage Zennor, Wayside Museum

A Grade II Listed Building in Zennor, Cornwall

Sadly now closed, the Wayside Museum at Zennor was one of the finest small museums that I've ever visited. A large collection of items relating to the locality were housed in the cottage and old mill building behind. For some years the the Cornish composer George Lloyd (born in St. Ives) lived here (a slate plaque which can be seen on the front of the cottage mentions this). The old mill itself was restored to working condition and worked occasionally - the flour sold in the small cafe and gift-shop alongside. I've no idea what has happened to the museum contents. It will be sad if they have been dispersed...
