Farmhouse. Probably dated by lintel now on barn inscribed W & M M AUGUST THE 3
1633 (Musgrave) with late C17 or early C18 extension. Roughcast walls with
painted raised quoins and eaves cornice. Graduated greenslate roof with
roughcast chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 4 bays with lower 3-bay original house at
right-angles to left rear. C20 roughcast porch, with C20 studded door.
Top-glazed 4-panel door under tracery fanlight within. Sash windows with
glazing bars in painted stone surrounds. Right-angled link with barn to right
has 2 chamfered-surround doorways. End wall left has unglazed sash window with
glazing bars and upper floor Yorkshire sashes. Former house has C20 door in
chamfered surround and casement windows in chamfered surrounds. Upper floor
Yorkshire sash windows in chamfered surrounds. Further blocked doorway and
window to left. Single-storey kitchen extension to left rear is not of
interest.
