Farmhouse, first built 1809 re-using stone from Castle boundary walls, cob and thatch; remodelled in granite in 1876. Faced granite rubble brought to course with granite quoins and dressings. Scantle slate roofs with gable brick chimneys those to right (east) and wing (north) on external rubble stacks.
Two room and cross passage plan; stairs to back of passage and rear wing off centre right forming an unequal 'T'; left rear has outshut. Kitchen/living room right of passage; wing with unheated service room and beyond a back kitchen with fireplace; in right hand rear angle later lean-to. Photographic evidence shows this as a cob or rendered house sliding sash windows and glazing bars, thatched roof and large low granite stack right (also a rear wing); late C19 changes involved raising roof, refacing, casing and refenestration. Wing stack may be semi-circular on plan (late C18-early C19).
Two storeys. Symmetrical three window front with central entrance. The fine four-centred moulded and bar-stopped granite door frame with frond spandrels re-used late C19 from porch of Pengersick Castle (qv) with label stops reversed. The windows are mid C19 sixteen pane hornless sashes. Hornless sashes also to wing.
Interior: Has mostly late C19 features. First floor and roof structure not inspected. Little altered since C19, close proximity to the castle and incorporating its principal doorway.
