Ice-house. Early C19. Sandstone rubble with brick inner dome; roof obscured
by plants. Built on steep side of river bank. 4 metre-long passage leads to
round ice-house, with long north wall extending below entrance level to
accommodate change in ground level. Interior: stone jambs half-way along
passage and brick jambs at mouth of well; domed brick lining. Well filled
to about half-metre below passage level.
