Pair of cottages, now a shop. Early/mid C19. Brick, on stone
plinth. Clay Gaelic tile roof. Stone gable and ridge copings;
off-centre brick stack. 2 storeys. Painted stone sills. No.
48: Mid C20 door (R.H.S); one sash window to each floor, with
glazing bars. No. 50: mid C20 shop front to ground floor, with
rear access passage opening to L.H.S. 2 sashes with glazing bars
to first floor. Dressed sandstone to rear (N. side) elevation
with 2 Yorkshire sashes with glazing bars, to first floor.
Extensions to rear (N. side) are not of interest.
