Farmhouse, early C18 with C19 alterations. Red brick with slate roof.
2 storeys, 4 bays, gabled. "U" shaped plan. Half glazed 4-panel door
with lower panels boltection moulded in wide panelled doorcase with
flush outer lining and external architraves. The door is fronted by a
lean-to hood, on curved brackets, with central gablet with truss motif
and finial. Mainly 2-light cross windows with stone sills and
cambered arches; two windows have two mullions. The four gables have
barge boards and finials. The south-west wing has 5 bays of cross
windows and the north-west wing has 4 bays of cross windows. There
are flat arches with keystones at ground floor level in the north-west
wing.
Interior: Six-panel doors with the small panels at the centre in
Queen Anne style. Stop-chamfered beams. Straight flight staircase
with turned balusters. At first floor level there are four-panel
doors with full width panels top and bottom and small square panels,
side-by-side, at the centre, some are hung on HL hinges. Bevelled
beams.
