House. 2 C17 bays to left, extended and refronted early-mid C19,
further C19-C20 extensions to right and rear. Original rear wing
probably C18. Colourwashed brick and render; slate roofs, hipped over
main block of 4 bays to right. C17 brick chimney with 3 grouped shafts
between left bays. Other chimneys also brick. Original rear wing
is of flint and brick. 2 storeys, 5 bays. Left bay is slightly lower and
has 3-pane sash windows. 3 centre bays formed early-mid C19 double fronted
facade and have plain pilasters between bays, canted bay windows flanking
door, and 4-pane flanking 3-pane sashes to first floor. Door is half-
glazed and has rectangular fanlight and re-sited wooden porch with
slender Doric columns and cornice hood from Eton. Matching bay added to
right. Interior: some traces of timber framing in left bays, upstairs
fireplace with chamfered 4-centred plaster arch in left bay; some early-
mid C18 panelling in upper and lower rooms to left bay; chamfered spine
beam with bar stops and stop-chamfered joists in adjacent bay; C17
staircase, probably re-sited, with rounded handrail and shaped splat
balusters.
