Cottage. C18. Shale rubble with wheat reed hipped thatched roof with brick
chimneys over side walls. Two room plan. 2 storeys, 2 windows. Central door (now
window). Left ground floor window is 2 light, 12 pane casement with heavy glazing
bars and one to right is 8 pane casement with heavy glazing bars and one to right
is 8 pane, 2 light casement with C20 one to first floor left and 4 pane, 2 light
casement to right. Small window to first floor chimney wall overlooks creek and
was said to have been used as navigation light. Rear has C20 extensions. Interior
has chamfered ceiling joists, Cornish cast iron range and copper.
