GV II

Lych gate. Early mid C19 with earlier central wall. Shale rubble ground floor
with slate hung first floor and with scantle slate roof. Passage with adjoining
basement and room over. 2 storeys, 2 windows with paired pointed arches with
glazing bars in pointed arched openings. Entrance through passage to south end
with lintel on corbelled rubble to east ends. Passage is cobbled towards church
and has granite Cornish stile on village side (filled in). North wall of passage
is very thick and survives from earlier lych gate. Slate tread external steps with
iron handrail lead to 1st floor room.
