GV II

Pedestrian and vehicle gates and flanking railings on dwarf walls. Early C19.
Cast iron; ashlar walls. Tapered round piers with moulded leaf-patterned capitals
form vehicle entrance and left pedestrian entrance, and terminate quadrant walls
and railings. Low rounded coping on walls. Foliage finials on railings and gates.
Founder's name JAMES GIMSON GATESHEAD on lock perhaps refers to gates and railings.
