Farmhouse. Probably C17 extended in C19. Rendered and painted stone rubble. Rag
slate roof with gable ends. Stone rubble end stacks with brick shafts, the left hand
stack projecting.
Plan: Two room and cross or through passage plan with end stacks. In circa mid C19
service wings were added to the rear with a kitchen to rear right and stair and
possibly a dairy to rear left. Further lean-to service outshuts added in later C19.
Exterior: Two storeys. Almost symmetrical three window front with central C20 porch
with partly glazed C19 door within, flanked by two probably C19 4-pane sashes. Three
C19 or C20 2-light casements on first floor. Slate sundial to right of centre on
first floor inscribed 'Vita fugit velut umbri TP 1774'.
Interior: C18 2-panel doors and C19 doors in earlier part of house with plastered
ceilings and C20 grates to fireplaces. Rear later part has C19 4-panel doors and C19
fireplace surround in kitchen.
