House and shop. Early - mid C18 with late C19 shop fronts. Grey brick in
Flemish bond with red brick dressing, rendered to right return and rear.
Pantile roof. Originally 2- or 3-room central entrance-hall plan, now with
single room to right (No 10), and section to left opened out for shop
(No12); rear outshut. 2 storeys with attic, 5 bays, with wider central bay.
Plinth, rendered to left. Quoins. Pair of shop fronts to left have similar
wooden pilastered surrounds with shaped brackets flanking plain friezes:
window to right with 4 lights, that to left with 3 segmental-headed lights
to the front and a recessed glazed door. Early C19 segmental bow window to
right with glazing bars, plain frieze and moulded cornice. 3-course first-
floor brick band. First-floor plate-glass sashes in original flush wooden
architraves and red brick surrounds. Dentilled wooden eaves cornice,
somewhat damaged. Stone-coped gables with shaped kneelers. Truncated end
stacks and axial stack to right. Interior: clasped purlin collared-rafter
roof; not fully investigated. Ranges adjoining to rear are not of special
interest.
