Brownhill Bridge Mill

A Grade II Listed Building in Uppermill, Oldham

Brownhill Bridge

Uploader's Comments

The original Brownhill Bridge was used by people and pack horses carrying goods down Brownhill and over the bridge and up Nicker Brow. The Blacksmith was at the top of the hill at Bridge House. When they built Dobcross New Road in 1860, they built a new bridge over the top of the little foot bridge and it remains there today, although nature is deteriorating its state.
