House. C17, extended in C18. Timber framed, plastered, roofed with handmade
red clay tiles. 5 bays aligned N-S, entrance to S, originally the service end
crosswing of The Manor House (q.v.), later partitioned off and extended to front
and back. One internal stack at rear end. Shop front of 2 splayed bays with
half-glazed door between. On first floor, splayed oriel with 3 C20 casements.
Coved eaves on both side walls. The interior has chamfered beams with lamb's
tongue stops, joists plastered to the soffits, primary straight bracing in
walls. RCHM 2.
